In Friday's league outing, the Lanier Longhorns (Sugar Hill, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Apalachee Wildcats (Winder, GA), by a margin of 67-43.

The Longhorns (8-10) will now prepare for their outing against North Gwinnett (Suwanee, GA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 11-7 record. In their last outing, North Gwinnett smashed Duluth (Duluth, GA), 62-52, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now own a 4-15 record. They play next when they host Jackson County for a AAAAAA Region 8 outing on Tuesday, January 23. Apalachee will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 75-56 league loss to Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 8-11.
