The Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates basketball team scored 79 points and held the host Augusta Beavers to 36 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. Cochrane-Fountain City will meet a Red Hawks team coming off a 76-73 league win over Westby (Westby, WI). The Red Hawks record now stands at 13-3.
The Beavers (1-15) will now prepare for their contest against Independence/Gilmanton (Independence, WI). The Indees enter the non-league contest with a 0-3 record.
