The Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX) basketball knocked off the host Azle Hornets (Azle, TX), 66-52 in Friday's league test.

The Pirates (13-8) will now prepare for their test against Rider (Wichita Falls, TX). The Raiders go into the 5A Region I District 5 test with a 8-17 record. In their last test, Rider notched a victory over Azle (Azle, TX), 58-26, in a league test.

The Hornets now own a 4-19 record. They play next when they travel to Rider for a 5A Region I District 5 test on Tuesday, January 23. Azle will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 60-27 league loss to Brewer (Fort Worth, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 7-17.
