Baird Bears (Baird, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Moran Bulldogs (Moran, TX), 50-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, Baird upgrades its record to 1-5 on the campaign. The Bears host Eula (Clyde, TX) to play the Pirates in a 1A Region II District 13 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 21-3. Eula won 58-36 in their recent league bout against May (May, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Cross Plains Buffaloes (Cross Plains, TX) in a 1A Region II District 13 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Moran will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Buffaloes come into the bout with a 9-11 record after their 62-0 league win over Rising Star (Rising Star, TX).
