Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Battle Mountain Longhorns (Battle Mountain, NV) and the visiting Oasis Academy Bighorns (Fallon, NV), saw Battle Mountain's basketball squad overcome Oasis Academy by a tally of 48-36.

With the victory, Battle Mountain improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Yerington (Yerington, NV) to confront the Lions in a 2A Northern challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 11-8. Yerington lost 45-44 in their recent league challenge against West Wendover (West Wendover, NV)

Next up, the Bighorns confront the West Wendover Wolverines (West Wendover, NV) in a 2A Northern challenge, on Saturday, January 20. Oasis Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record.
