South Gate Rams (South Gate, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bell Eagles (Bell, CA), 47-39 in a league bout.

With the win, South Gate upgrades its record to 7-13 on the season. The Rams travel to Artesia (Lakewood, CA) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 14-8. Artesia won 75-17 in their recent league bout against Glenn (Norwalk, CA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Roosevelt Rough Riders (Los Angeles, CA) in a Eastern bout, on Monday, January 22. Bell will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Rough Riders go into the bout with a 13-9 record after their 55-52 non-league win over Sylmar (Sylmar, CA).
