Colcord Hornets (Colcord, OK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Berryhill Chiefs (Tulsa, OK), 57-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Colcord upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Bethel (Shawnee, OK) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 4-10. Bethel won 58-50 in their recent non-league bout against Bristow (Bristow, OK)

Next up, the Chiefs play the Bristow Pirates (Bristow, OK) in a Tulsa Seven bout, on Saturday, January 20. Berryhill will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 58-50 non-league loss to Bethel (Shawnee, OK).
