North Carolina High School Basketball - Bessemer City knocked off by Highland Tech

January 19, 2024: Bessemer City, NC 28016

The Highland Tech Rams basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Bessemer City Yellow Jackets to 39 in the Rams league triumph on Friday.

The Rams now sport a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thomas Jefferson for a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont contest on Tuesday, January 23. Highland Tech will battle a Gryphons team coming off a 70-42 league loss to Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Gryphons record now stands at 7-8.

The Yellow Jackets (3-15) will now prepare for their contest against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Warriors enter the 1A/2A Southern Piedmont contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, East Gaston ran past Burns (Lawndale, NC), 74-64, in a league contest.
