Chickasaw Chieftains (Chickasaw, AL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Blacksher Bulldogs (Uriah, AL), 57-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Chickasaw upgrades its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Chieftains host St. Luke's Episcopal (Mobile, AL) to play the Wildcats in a 2A Area 1 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 9-9. St. Luke's Episcopal won 59-50 in their recent league bout against Clarke County (Grove Hill, AL)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Washington County Bulldogs (Chatom, AL) in a 2A Area 1 bout, on Monday, January 22. Blacksher will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 62-40 non-league loss to Leroy (Leroy, AL).
