The De La Salle Collegiate Pilots basketball team (Warren, MI), was nudged 47-45 in Friday's league battle with the host Brother Rice Warriors (Bloomfield Hills, MI)

The Warriors now possess a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Catholic for a Catholic Central battle on Tuesday, January 23. Brother Rice will confront a Fighting Irish team coming off a 63-57 non-league win over Start (Toledo, OH). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 6-8.

The Pilots (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against St. Mary's Prep (Orchard Lake, MI). The Eaglets come into the Catholic Central battle with a 11-1 record. In their last battle, St. Mary's Prep edged University of Detroit Jesuit (Detroit, MI), 76-68, in a league battle.
