Burr Oak Bobcats (Burr Oak, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Climax-Scotts Panthers (Climax, MI), 47-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Burr Oak upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Bobcats host St. Philip Catholic Central (Battle Creek, MI) to play the Fighting Tigers in a Southern Central bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Fighting Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-5. St. Philip Catholic Central lost 49-47 in their recent non-league bout against East Jordan (East Jordan, MI)

Next up, the Panthers play the Mendon Hornets (Mendon, MI) in a Southern Central bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Climax-Scotts will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 69-51 non-league win over Howardsville Christian (Marcellus, MI).
