Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Cabrillo Conquistadores (Lompoc, CA) and the visiting Pioneer Valley Panthers (Santa Maria, CA), saw Cabrillo's basketball squad knock off Pioneer Valley by a tally of 58-44.

With the victory, Cabrillo improves its record to 8-7 on the campaign. The Conquistadores host Orcutt Academy (Orcutt, CA) to play the Spartans in a Sunset challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 11-11. Orcutt Academy lost 57-52 in their recent league challenge against Morro Bay (Morro Bay, CA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Santa Maria Saints (Santa Maria, CA) in a Sunset challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Pioneer Valley will attempt to improve on its 8-13 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 12-10 record after their 61-54 league win over Paso Robles (Paso Robles, CA).
