The Central Eagles basketball team (Pageland, SC), was nudged 58-53 in Friday's league battle with the visiting North Central Knights (Kershaw, SC)

The Knights now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host York Prep for a AA Region 5 battle on Tuesday, January 23. North Central will confront a Patriots team coming off a 57-43 league loss to Cheraw (Cheraw, SC). The Patriots record now stands at 10-8.

The Eagles (6-12) will now prepare for their battle against Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC). The Golden Rams come into the AA Region 5 battle with a 1-14 record.
