The Spirit Lake Indians basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Cherokee Washington Braves to 67 in the Indians league triumph on Friday.

The Indians now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Worthington for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. Spirit Lake will meet a Trojans team coming off a 78-73 league win over Marshall (Marshall, MN). The Trojans record now stands at 8-4.

The Braves (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Storm Lake (Storm Lake, IA). The Tornadoes enter the Lakes contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Storm Lake was nudged by Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA), 62-58, in a league contest.
