The China Spring Cougars (China Spring, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Salado Eagles (Salado, TX), 52-37 in Friday's league test.

The Cougars (13-15) will now prepare for their test against Connally (Waco, TX). The Cadets go into the 4A Region III District 23 test with a 11-13 record. In their last test, Connally notched a victory over Robinson (Robinson, TX), 63-48, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 9-17 record. They play next when they host La Vega for a 4A Region III District 23 test on Tuesday, January 23. Salado will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 74-57 league win over Gatesville (Gatesville, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 16-4.
