Cove Leopards (Cove, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wallowa Cougars (Wallowa, OR), 53-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cove upgrades its record to 16-5 on the campaign. The Leopards travel to Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR) to play the Spartans in a 1A Old Oregon bout on Saturday, January 20. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 2-15. Pine Eagle lost 76-29 in their recent league bout against Imbler (Imbler, OR)

Next up, the Cougars play the Cove Leopards (Cove, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon bout, on Saturday, January 20. Wallowa will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Leopards come into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 53-46 league win over Wallowa (Wallowa, OR).
