Danvers Falcons (Danvers, MA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gloucester Fishermen (Gloucester, MA), 55-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Danvers upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Falcons host Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA) to clash with the Tanners in a Northeastern - Large bout on Monday, January 22. The Tanners go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Peabody Veterans Memorial lost 71-61 in their recent league bout against Masconomet Regional (Boxford, MA)

Next up, the Fishermen clash with the Swampscott Big Blue (Swampscott, MA) in a Northeastern - Small bout, on Thursday, January 25. Gloucester will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Big Blue go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 56-53 league loss to Masconomet Regional (Boxford, MA).
