Midland Chemics (Midland, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Dow Chargers (Midland, MI), 57-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Midland upgrades its record to 2-10 on the season. The Chemics travel to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, MI) to play the Oilers in a Saginaw Valley bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Oilers go into the bout with a record of 7-5.

Next up, the Chargers play the Grand Blanc Bobcats (Grand Blanc, MI) in a Saginaw Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Dow will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 60-56 non-league win over South Christian (Grand Rapids, MI).
