Gilbert Indians (Gilbert, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Dreher Blue Devils (Columbia, SC), 59-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Gilbert upgrades its record to 6-11 on the season. The Indians host Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC) to play the Bruins in a AAA Region 5 bout on Monday, January 22. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 14-5. Orangeburg-Wilkinson lost 45-31 in their recent league bout against Lower Richland (Hopkins, SC)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC) in a AAA Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Dreher will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Diamond Hornets go into the bout with a 12-5 record after their 45-31 league win over Orangeburg-Wilkinson (Orangeburg, SC).
