Waseca Bluejays (Waseca, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Fairmont Cardinals (Fairmont, MN), 60-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Waseca upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Bluejays travel to St. Clair (St. Clair, MN) to clash with the Cyclones in a AA Section 2 bout on Saturday, January 20. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 8-7. St. Clair lost 73-64 in their recent league bout against Minnesota Valley Lutheran (New Ulm, MN)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Martin County West Mavericks (Sherburn, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. Fairmont will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Mavericks go into the bout with a 1-15 record after their 80-65 league loss to Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (Winthrop, MN).
