Illinois High School Basketball - Galesburg overwhelmed by Rock Island

The Rock Island Rocks basketball team scored 79 points and restricted the host Galesburg Silver Streaks to 48 in the Rocks league victory on Friday.
The Rocks now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lincoln for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20. Rock Island will battle a Railsplitters team coming off a 42-24 league win over Normal University (Normal, IL). The Railsplitters record now stands at 15-6.
The Silver Streaks (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against Quincy (Quincy, IL). The Blue Devils come into the Western Big 6 contest with a 19-1 record. In their last contest, Quincy triumphed over Imhotep Charter (Philadelphia, PA), 74-62, in a non-league contest.
