Golden Valley Cougars (Merced, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Patterson Tigers (Patterson, CA), 59-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Golden Valley upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Merced (Merced, CA) to clash with the Bears in a Central California Conference bout on Monday, January 22. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 11-11. Merced won 75-45 in their recent league bout against Buhach Colony (Atwater, CA)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Central Valley Hawks (Ceres, CA) in a Central California Conference bout, on Monday, January 22. Patterson will attempt to upgrade on its 15-5 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 5-17 record after their 70-31 non-league loss to Central Catholic (Modesto, CA).
