Murray County Indians (Chatsworth, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Gordon Central Warriors (Calhoun, GA), 65-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Murray County upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Indians host Rockmart (Rockmart, GA) to play the Yellowjackets in a AA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 16-3. Rockmart won 69-52 in their recent non-league bout against Bowdon (Bowdon, GA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Haralson County Rebels (Tallapoosa, GA) in a AA Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Gordon Central will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 53-28 non-league loss to Temple (Temple, GA).
