North Forrest Eagles (Hattiesburg, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Heidelberg Oilers (Heidelberg, MS), 47-40 in a league bout.

With the win, North Forrest upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Eagles host Richton (Richton, MS) to play the Rebels in a 2A Region 8 bout on Thursday, January 25. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 17-7. Richton won 62-45 in their recent league bout against Collins (Collins, MS)

Next up, the Oilers play the Mize Bulldogs (Mize, MS) in a 2A Region 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Heidelberg will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record.
