Georgia High School Basketball - Mundy's Mill knocked off by Jonesboro

The Jonesboro Cardinals basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Mundy's Mill Tigers to 49 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alcovy for a AAAAAA Region 3 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Jonesboro will meet a Tigers team coming off a 66-65 league loss to Morrow (Morrow, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 12-7.

The Tigers (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Morrow (Morrow, GA). The Mustangs enter the AAAAAA Region 3 contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Morrow ran past Alcovy (Covington, GA), 66-65, in a league contest.
