Joseph Eagles (Joseph, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Powder Valley Badgers (North Powder, OR), 35-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Joseph upgrades its record to 5-13 on the season. The Eagles travel to Imbler (Imbler, OR) to play the Panthers in a 1A Old Oregon bout on Saturday, January 20. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 17-2. Imbler won 76-29 in their recent league bout against Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR)

Next up, the Badgers play the Wallowa Cougars (Wallowa, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon bout, on Saturday, January 20. Powder Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 53-46 league loss to Cove (Cove, OR).
