Lasara Lions (Lasara, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting San Isidro Tigers (San Isidro, TX), 59-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Lasara upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season. The Lions travel to McMullen County (Tilden, TX) to play the Cowboys in a 1A Region IV District 32 bout on Friday, February 2. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 20-8.

Next up, the Tigers play the Benavides Eagles (Benavides, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 32 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. San Isidro will attempt to upgrade on its 9-18 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 65-47 league loss to Bruni (Bruni, TX).
