The Prince of Peace Prep Irish basketball team (Clinton, IA), was toppled 69-60 in Friday's league battle with the host Marquette Defenders (Bellevue, IA)

The Defenders now possess a 13-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cuba City for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 20. Marquette will battle a Cubans team coming off a 64-33 league loss to Darlington (Darlington, WI). The Cubans record now stands at 6-7.

The Irish (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Wilton (Wilton, IA). The Beavers enter the non-league contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Wilton was defeated by Cascade (Cascade, IA), 94-75, in a league contest.
