North Carolina High School Basketball - Perquimans trounced by Martin County

January 19, 2024: Williamston, NC 27892

In Friday's league match, the host Martin County Knights basketball team scored a decisive 78-57 triumph over the Perquimans Pirates.

In their next game, the Knights face the North Edgecombe Warriors (Tarboro, NC) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 20. Martin County will attempt to move on its 10-6 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 10-2 record after their 65-54 league win over KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC).

With the defeat, Perquimans moves to 4-11 on the year. The Pirates travel to Tarboro (Tarboro, NC) to face the Vikings in a 1A Four Rivers match on Monday, January 22. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 1-10. Tarboro lost 77-69 in their recent non-league match against SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC)
