Texas High School Basketball - Medina knocked off by Utopia

The Utopia Buffaloes basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Medina Bobcats to 38 in the Buffaloes league triumph on Friday.

The Buffaloes now sport a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rocksprings for a 1A Region IV District 31 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Utopia will battle a Angoras team coming off a 59-35 league win over D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX). The Angoras record now stands at 18-4.

The Bobcats (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX). The Panthers enter the 1A Region IV District 31 contest with a 2-10 record. In their last contest, Nueces Canyon ran past Leakey (Leakey, TX), 42-40, in a league contest.
