Montevideo Thunderhawks (Montevideo, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers (Morris, MN), 59-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Montevideo upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Thunderhawks host Dawson-Boyd (Dawson, MN) to clash with the Blackjacks in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Blackjacks go into the bout with a record of 16-1. Dawson-Boyd won 84-50 in their recent league bout against Renville County West (Renville, MN)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Osakis Silverstreaks (Osakis, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Silverstreaks go into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 72-46 league win over Upsala (Upsala, MN).
