The Montpelier Locomotives basketball team scored 43 points and restricted the visiting Stryker Panthers to 38 in the Locomotives league victory on Friday.

The Locomotives now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edgerton for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20. Montpelier will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 72-42 league loss to Paulding (Paulding, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-10.

The Panthers (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Tinora (Defiance, OH). The Rams come into the non-league contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Tinora was nudged by Wayne Trace (Haviland, OH), 69-43, in a league contest.
