The Saydel Eagles basketball team (Des Moines, IA), was overwhelmed 73-52 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA)
The Cubs now possess a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gilbert for a non-league battle on Monday, January 22. Nevada will battle a Tigers team coming off a 65-53 non-league loss to Webster City (Webster City, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-7.
The Eagles (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Southeast Warren (Liberty Center, IA). The Warhawks come into the non-league battle with a 7-3 record. In their last battle, Southeast Warren trounced Martensdale-St. Mary's (Martensdale, IA), 67-42, in a league battle.
