The Nocona Indians (Nocona, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Olney Cubs (Olney, TX), 65-40 in Friday's league test.

The Indians (11-8) will now prepare for their test against Petrolia (Petrolia, TX). The Pirates go into the 2A Region II District 9 test with a 15-12 record. In their last test, Petrolia walloped Archer City (Archer City, TX), 50-32, in a league test.

The Cubs now own a 8-16 record. They play next when they travel to Seymour for a 2A Region II District 9 test on Tuesday, January 23. Olney will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 64-47 league win over Windthorst (Windthorst, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 9-14.
