The North Lenoir Hawks (LaGrange, NC) basketball crushed the host South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC), 72-41 in Friday's league test.
The Hawks (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Kinston (Kinston, NC). The Vikings go into the 2A East Central test with a 12-3 record. In their last test, Kinston walloped Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC), 71-66, in a league test.
The Blue Devils now own a 3-13 record. They play next when they host Kinston for a 2A East Central test on Friday, January 26. South Lenoir will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 78-36 league win over North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 13-3.
