Connecticut High School Basketball - Shepaug Valley nudges Northwestern Regional

Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Northwestern Regional Highlanders (Winsted, CT), 67-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Shepaug Valley upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Spartans travel to Thomaston (Thomaston, CT) to clash with the Bears in a Berkshire bout on Friday, January 26. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 5-6.

Next up, the Highlanders clash with the Thomaston Bears (Thomaston, CT) in a Berkshire bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Northwestern Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 10-2 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 76-49 league win over Litchfield (Litchfield, CT).
