San Angelo Central Bobcats (San Angelo, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Odessa Bronchos (Odessa, TX), 48-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, San Angelo Central upgrades its record to 20-9 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Midland Legacy (Midland, TX) to play the Rebels in a 6A Region I District 2 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 11-13. Midland Legacy lost 81-49 in their recent league bout against Frenship (Wolfforth, TX)

Next up, the Bronchos play the Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX) in a 6A Region I District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Odessa will attempt to upgrade on its 7-19 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 12-14 record after their 54-39 league loss to Permian (Odessa, TX).
