In Friday's league outing, the St. Michael Catholic Cardinals (Fairhope, AL) basketball squad edged the host Orange Beach Makos (Orange Beach, AL), by a count of 37-34.

The Cardinals (11-11) will now prepare for their outing against Bayside Academy (Daphne, AL). The Admirals go into the 4A Area 1 outing with a 12-7 record. In their last outing, Bayside Academy was tipped by UMS-Wright Prep (Mobile, AL), 56-53, in a league outing.

The Makos now hold a 11-11 record. They play next when they travel to UMS-Wright Prep for a 4A Area 1 outing on Tuesday, January 23. Orange Beach will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 56-53 league win over Bayside Academy (Daphne, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-13.
