Rice Memorial Green Knights (South Burlington, VT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Rutland Raiders (Rutland, VT), 74-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rice Memorial upgrades its record to 10-0 on the campaign. The Green Knights host Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT) to play the Cougars in a Metro bout on Monday, January 22. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 3-9. Mt. Mansfield won 55-42 in their recent league bout against Essex (Essex Junction, VT)

Next up, the Raiders play the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Rutland will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 77-53 league win over Colchester (Colchester, VT).
