Illinois High School Basketball - Stark County nudges Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]

Stark County Rebels (Toulon, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans (Woodhull, IL), 61-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Stark County upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Rebels host Galva (Galva, IL) to clash with the Wildcats in a Lincoln Trail bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 6-12.

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL) in a Lincoln Trail bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 75-32 league win over Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL).

The Stark County (Toulon, IL) varsity basketball team won Friday's home conference game against Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL) in overtime by a score of 61-58.
