Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Round Rock Westwood Warriors (Austin, TX), 59-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Vandegrift upgrades its record to 19-6 on the campaign. The Vipers host Stony Point (Round Rock, TX) to play the Tigers in a 6A Region IV District 25 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 25-1. Stony Point won 72-56 in their recent league bout against Manor (Manor, TX)

Next up, the Warriors play the Round Rock Dragons (Round Rock, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 25 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Round Rock Westwood will attempt to upgrade on its 16-10 season record. The Dragons come into the bout with a 16-9 record after their 71-43 league win over Vista Ridge (Cedar Park, TX).
