The Sam Rayburn Rebels (Ivanhoe, TX) basketball crushed the host Whitewright Tigers (Whitewright, TX), 69-39 in Friday's league test.
The Rebels (17-9) will now prepare for their test against Celeste (Celeste, TX). The Blue Devils go into the 2A Region II District 14 test with a 11-11 record. In their last test, Celeste was trounced by Wolfe City (Wolfe City, TX), 41-31, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 9-13 record. They play next when they travel to Tom Bean for a 2A Region II District 14 test on Tuesday, January 23. Whitewright will encounter a Tomcats squad coming off a 57-54 league win over Bland (Merit, TX). The Tomcats record now stands at 19-10.
