Texas High School Basketball - Smithson Valley knocked off by Seguin

The Seguin Matadors basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Smithson Valley Rangers to 59 in the Matadors league triumph on Friday.

The Matadors now sport a 12-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tivy for a 5A Region IV District 26 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Seguin will meet a Antlers team coming off a 63-56 league win over Canyon (New Braunfels, TX). The Antlers record now stands at 14-12.

The Rangers (7-14) will now prepare for their contest against Wagner (San Antonio, TX). The Thunderbirds enter the 5A Region IV District 26 contest with a 16-9 record. In their last contest, Wagner ran past Pieper (San Antonio, TX), 48-46, in a league contest.
