Wisconsin High School Basketball - Stevens Point can't hold off Wausau East

The Wausau East Lumberjacks basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Stevens Point Panthers to 73 in the Lumberjacks league triumph on Friday.
The Lumberjacks now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Green Bay Preble for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20. Wausau East will battle a Hornets team coming off a 70-63 league loss to Sheboygan North (Sheboygan, WI). The Hornets record now stands at 3-12.
The Panthers (13-1) will now prepare for their contest against Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln (Wisconsin Rapids, WI). The Red Raiders enter the Wisconsin Valley contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln nudged D.C. Everest (Schofield, WI), 61-52, in a league contest.
