Merced Bears (Merced, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Buhach Colony Thunder (Atwater, CA), 51-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Merced upgrades its record to 19-4 on the season. The Bears host Golden Valley (Merced, CA) to clash with the Cougars in a bout on Monday, January 22. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 14-7. Golden Valley won 58-26 in their recent league bout against Patterson (Patterson, CA)

Next up, the Thunder clash with the Golden Valley Cougars (Merced, CA) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Buhach Colony will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record.
