The Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL) basketball knocked off the host Crete-Monee Warriors (Crete, IL), 34-26 in Friday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Thornwood (South Holland, IL). The Thunderbirds go into the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Thornwood went down by Thornridge (Dolton, IL), 40-37, in a non-league test.

The Warriors now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Rich Township for a test on Tuesday, January 23. Crete-Monee will encounter a Raptors squad coming off a 60-49 non-league loss to Perspectives Leadership/Technology (Chicago, IL). The Raptors record now stands at 2-1.
