The St. John's Prep Eagles (Danvers, MA) basketball nipped the visiting Xaverian Brothers Hawks (Westwood, MA), 69-68 in Friday's non-league test.
The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their test against North Andover (North Andover, MA). The Scarlet Knights go into the non-league test with a 2-5 record. In their last test, North Andover was tipped by Central Catholic (Lawrence, MA), 51-48, in a league test.
The Hawks now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Bridgewater-Raynham for a non-league test on Sunday, January 21.
