Granville Golden Horde (Granville, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Argyle Scots (Argyle, NY), 51-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Granville upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Golden Horde travel to Fort Ann (Fort Ann, NY) to play the Cardinals in a Section 2 Adirondack I bout on Friday, January 26. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 4-7.

Next up, the Scots play the Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Golden Knights (Schenectady, NY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. Argyle will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Golden Knights go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 53-40 league win over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (St. Johnsville, NY).
