The Athens Christian Eagles basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Tallulah Falls Indians to 45 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Commerce for a A D1 Region 8 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Athens Christian will battle a Tigers team coming off a 58-54 league win over Elbert County (Elberton, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 12-7.
The Indians (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Oglethorpe County ran past Elbert County (Elberton, GA), 60-48, in a non-league contest.
