The Portsmouth Christian Patriots basketball team (Portsmouth, VA), was nudged 35-30 in Friday's league battle with the host Atlantic Shores Christian Seahawks (Chesapeake, VA)

The Seahawks now possess a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Christchurch School for a VISAA Division II battle on Saturday, January 20. Atlantic Shores Christian will battle a Seahorses team coming off a 38-32 non-league loss to Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA). The Seahorses record now stands at 6-8.

The Patriots (2-11) will now prepare for their battle against Greenbrier Christian Academy (Chesapeake, VA). The Gators come into the VISAA Division III battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Greenbrier Christian Academy was nudged by Hampton Christian Academy (Hampton, VA), 75-36, in a league battle.
